It’s the deciding factor — pun intended…

I take success very seriously. There are too many distractions in this world to let it slip away to some Netflix or video game binge. Now, I’m not saying that I don’t do these things (because I do), but the dynamic with these activities has changed very much ever since I decided that they weren’t going to get in the way of my success. Ever since, I’ve actually enjoyed these activities in a different, more mature way, and there’s no going back. By doing so, I’ve learned that there is tremendous power in Decision and Decisiveness because it can change your life.

The #1 thing I want you to remember about “decision” is that although it may seem permanent, it isn’t always. But once you develop a good habit, then that habit can be hard to kick to the curb. Fair warning, don’t make a decision if you’re planning on backing off if things go well… I used to do that all the time and it would cause me so much pain.

The good news is, once you do decide on changing something for the better. The fact that it’s difficult to quit becomes a good thing. Say you decide to start a new diet or exercise plan… You are then in tune with the good energies that come from starting something new and positive. Now, your decision to stick to it no matter what is where the real power is.

Once you decide to do something new. Immortalize it by writing it in a journal, setting it as your wallpaper, or making it your phone background. You can even make your big decision one of your daily affirmations. However you do it, remember that you’re actually increasing the probability you’ll stick to it even more by writing it down!

The next step now is that once you have the new habit, the thing you want to change, and you DECIDED that you’re going to stick with this new habit. Prepare yourself to be carried by your decision in your day-to-day life. Your decision will effectively shape your next few decisions and… as they say, you’re off to the races.

I want to leave you with this. If you’re one of the brave few that make changes to their life, might as well make positive changes by making a powerful decision. I commend you for doing your part in making our world a better place.

Thanks
