Sacrifice At The Bottom

We all know the story of the really successful person who always talks about how he made it by sacrificing everything that was dear to them.

I don’t know about you but, to me, that sounds like hell.

If you have to sacrifice everything to get that one thing you want then you are stuck wondering if the sacrifice was even worth it.

And, I get it, most people will say that the sacrifice is worth it. But do they really have a choice?

Having sacrificed everything, most of it you can’t get back. So saying that the sacrifice is worth it is the only way out of infinite regret.

And not only that there must have been a moment where the person asked themselves what they had to sacrifice in the first place to get what they wanted. Or worse, somebody else convinced them that the sacrifice was the only way to get what they wanted.

All of that just seems like a whole lotta waste.

If you want something bad enough, aren’t you already doing everything in your power to get it? And anyway, if you aren’t, isn’t it because you don’t want it bad enough?

There is no way we are teaching our kids to get rid of everything that is dear to them, and this includes material possessions, habits and people (which btw we shouldn’t get rid of people who have our best interest at heart), just to get something that they don’t even know.

So, what is the solution?

To make it without sacrifice.

If you can do that, you know that you’re on the right path because every action you’d be taking would be in line with getting everything you want, truly want, WITHOUT getting rid of anything you actually need to get there.
