Y’all know TikTok, right? That app that has everyone from kids to grown-ups blowing up all over the internet? Well, there’s a real reason it’s blowing up everywhere.

TikTok is known for its viral videos. But did you know that the real reason videos go viral is because of how many views every video gets?

If you knew how many views most viral videos get you’d be appalled. We’re talking 100s of millions of views, even billions.

These videos are just normal videos that have something to them, and it’s crazy to me how many people are becoming happier just by watching a TikTok video and sharing them with their friends.

The sheer number of views on each video, in relationship to the number of humans on this planet, is huge. For example, a video with 100 million views means that 1 in 80 people in the world has seen it, or that less than that have seen many times. That’s crazy!

Most videos that go viral on TikTok are just some kid in their rooms. Or some friends doing something cool as shit.

But the sheer number of things that you can see when in terms of videos with views over 100 million, really makes you ask the question: who are these people that are on TikTok all day long watching videos? Do these people go to school? Do they work?

I mean I understood when there were one or two viral videos du moment, but now, it’s like there are millions of influencers all going viral all over the internet.

You can have 700,000 influencers all getting 3–5 million views on each video, which means that, in just that small group, there are 2,100,000,000,000 to 3,500,000,000,000. That’s trillions, for one group of videos. And in case you didn’t know, there are only 8billion people in the world (8,000,000,000)

So, riddle me this: how are we generating 1000+ times the amount of people on the earth in views every day?

I mean, I know bots exist and everything, but where did this pressure to impress people come from that we’re so beyond reality that we’re obsessed with making/showing an image (and such a big one at that)?
